Light Shaped by Nature
yadesign is a Prague-based studio creating sculptural table lamps at the intersection of generative design and 3D printing. Each lamp is a one-of-a-kind object that transforms warm light into living art.
Born from Algorithms, Finished by Hand
Every yadesign lamp begins as a parametric model — organic shapes generated through algorithms that simulate natural growth patterns. Coral formations, wind-sculpted sand dunes, and flowing water all serve as inspiration for forms that feel both ancient and futuristic.
These digital sculptures are then brought to life on professional Prusa 3D printers using bio-based PLA, a plant-derived material that achieves a beautiful bone-white translucency when lit from within. Each piece takes 30 to 50 hours to print, layer by layer, before being inspected and hand-finished in our Prague workshop.
Warm Light, Quiet Presence
We believe lighting should do more than illuminate — it should create atmosphere. Our lamps emit a soft, warm white glow at 2700K through their translucent organic walls, diffusing light the way sunlight passes through porcelain or bone.
The result is a piece that feels alive in any room: a sculptural object by day, a source of calm, ambient warmth by night. No two lamps are identical — subtle variations in the printing process make each one a unique artifact.
Generative Design
Every form is algorithmically sculpted, inspired by organic growth patterns found in nature — no two models are ever the same.
Sustainable Materials
Printed in bio-based PLA derived from renewable plant starch. Minimal waste, made to order, no mass production.
Made in Prague
Designed, printed, and hand-finished in our studio in Prague, Czech Republic. European craftsmanship meets digital precision.
